His Story

From Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, Dr. Neil Maher's connection to the Atlantic Ocean has shaped his life's work.

For over 40 years, he has studied and harvested seaweeds from Ireland's rugged coastline, fascinated by the extraordinary biological systems nature has evolved to survive and thrive in one of the harshest environments on Earth.

After completing his PhD in Biochemistry in Cork and undertaking further research in Paris, Neil returned to Kerry in 2005 with a vision: to harness the remarkable natural resources of Ireland's Atlantic coast and transform them into cosmetic innovation.

Since then, his work has focused on one central question: what does healthy skin truly need to flourish?

Rather than chasing trends or formulating around individual "hero ingredients", Neil studies the biology of healthy skin itself. His philosophy is simple: help the skin help itself. By supplying the biological building blocks healthy skin naturally depends upon, he believes skin can function closer to the way nature intended.
