🔬 1. Superior Cell Protection (Cytotoxicity Test using RHE Model)
Using the Reconstructed Human Epidermis (RHE) model and a standard resazurin viability assay, researchers evaluated how well each product protected skin cells from a chemical irritant (0.5% SDS).
✅ Atlantik Healing Serum preserved the highest level of cell viability, even under stress—outperforming both leading competitors. This demonstrates our formula’s protective power and biocompatibility with live skin tissue.

💧 2. Exceptional Skin Barrier Protection (TEWL Study)
To assess barrier integrity, trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) was measured over 18 hours using the Tewitro® TW 24 device. RHE skin models were treated with each product and exposed to SDS to simulate damage.
• After 6 hours, Atlantik Healing Serum outperformed both synthetic competitors in reducing water loss.
• After 18 hours, it continued to perform exceptionally—surpassing one leading brand and matching the other.
Why it matters:
Preventing TEWL is crucial for keeping the skin hydrated, balanced, and resilient. These results show that our serum not only shields the barrier, but actively supports it in high-stress environments.

🩹 3. Accelerated Wound Healing (2D HaCaT Model)
Using a scratch wound assay in a keratinocyte (HaCaT) model, the study tested how well our serum stimulated cell migration and wound closure over a 6-hour period.
✅ At just 0.1 mg/mL, Atlantik Healing Serum significantly improved wound healing compared to untreated skin—matching the performance of a known positive control.
Why it matters:

🌿 4. Helps Calm Chronic Inflammation Marker (TNF-α)
The final measure looked at TNF-α, a cytokine closely linked to chronic inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea.
In the model, Atlantik Healing Serum reduced TNF-α levels, even compared to SDS-exposed skin and untreated control.
✅ Both Atlantik Healing Serum and our Body Armour Body Wash showed this important benefit.
